Description and Application
A fiber array (called Fiber Array, FA in English) is a fiber, a bundle of fibers, or a ribbon of fibers mounted on an array substrate using V-grooves. Fiber arrays are mainly used to transmit parallel optical signals. Numerous optical fibers in a certain order will be arranged into the desired geometric shape of the end face, forming a fiber array, the array at both ends of the optical fiber arrangement of the position of one-to-one correspondence, an optical fiber in the array is equivalent to a pixel, in the optical fiber array at one end of the image at the other end of the array can be reproduced after optical signal processing. It can be applied in planar optical waveguide, array waveguide grating, active/passive array fiber optic device, microelectromechanical system, multi-channel optical module and so on.
