Description and Application
Machine vision uses machines to replace human eyes for measurement and judgment. It converts the captured target into image signals through machine vision products (CMOS or CCD) and sends them to a dedicated image processing system to obtain the shape information of the captured target. Based on pixel distribution, brightness, color, and other information, it converts these into digital signals. The image system performs various calculations on these signals to extract the target features, and then controls the actions of on-site equipment based on the judgment results.
A typical machine vision system includes modules such as lighting, lenses, high-speed cameras, image acquisition cards, and vision processors.
The characteristics of machine vision systems are improving the flexibility and automation of production. Machine vision is commonly used to replace manual vision in environments unsuitable for human work. In the mass production process, manual visual inspection of product quality is inefficient and imprecise. Using machine vision inspection methods can greatly improve production efficiency and automation.
