SHANGHAI, May 4, 2026 – North Ocean Photonics Co., Ltd., a developer of advanced waveguides and wafer-level optics, and Avegant Corp., a developer of next-generation light engines for AR experiences are partnering to deliver joint modules to OEM customers.

The new partnership will pair North Ocean Photonics YN-C30 waveguides with Avegant’s AG-30L2 light engines

The integration features North Ocean Photonics' 30° FoV full-color single-layer diffractive-etched waveguides integrated with Avegant’s compact AG-30L2 30° FoV full color LCoS light engine. Together, North Ocean Photonics and Avegant have created a lightweight, full-color, AR display module that is intended to be used as an optical reference design for AI-enabled consumer smart glasses. This solution is highly efficient, full color, mass-manufacturable, and lightweight.
