About Us
North Ocean Photonics（NOP）is a high - tech company dedicated to Wafer Level Optics (WLO) and optical integration. NOP has Shanghai R&D + MP site, Suzhou site, Hong Kong site and European material center. Leveraging its long time accumulated technological background and high - precision manufacturing capabilities, NOP is committed to explore novel applications in photonics by adopting innovative approaches in integrated optics.
NOP's Shanghai R&D + MP site is located in the Lingang Special Area of the Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone, China. The Lingang site is a fully self-owned Design house + Master shop + MP close loop with ~10,000㎡ clean room (Class 100 and Class 1,000, yellow zone and grey zone), a comprehensive IDM close loop + foundry platform. The cleanroom fully equipped with lithography, dry etching, wet etching, NIL, metrology, dicing, stacking & blackening, reliability & FAE, etc.
NOP is qualified with ISO and IATF16949 standard. NOP has also formed a strong intellectual property portfolio with US, PCT and China patents.
In terms of product applications, North Ocean Photonics currently has three product series：Micro Optics and Machine Vision, AR Waveguides, and Fibre Optics and LiDAR：
1.Micro Optics and Machine Vision
Since 2019, the company's 3D sensing components have been in continuous MP stage for top tier international mobile phones makers with cumulative shipment volume > 30MN pcs.
2.AR Wagveguides
Based on nearly 10 years’experience in AR waveguide fabricating and balancing various requirements, NOP has formed six “Standard Sets” for AR waveguides clients. The six sets feature differentiated product positioning and application scenarios. NOP’s wide range of AR waveguides have been continuously supporting various AR handsets/brands globally.
3.Fiber Optics and LiDAR
NOP’s fiber optics product obtained automotive factory accreditation in 2021 and has started MP for domestic top - tier new - energy vehicle models since 2022. NOP has emerged as one of the few companies in this niche segment to have IATF 16949 automotive industry QC certification.
